From the time I’ve been a little girl, I’ve always been drawn to the more domestic side of life.  I watched my Italian grandmothers cook elaborate, delicious meals in the kitchen.  I watched my amazingly creative mother sew homemade capes for our halloween costumes and custom make jewelry for each event I attended.  But being a modern woman sometimes seems antonymous with these wonderful traditions.

You don’t need to have anything more than a willing effort and a little information in order to cultivate talent at these crafts and you’ll see pretty quickly that I am certainly not an expert at any of them.  My goal with this blog is to document my forays into the creative and domestic world and perhaps provide some inspiration for others.

I am a full time 4th grade teacher at an all-boy school so my life is often hectic and I don’t have as much time for projects and “domesticity” as I’d like, but it IS possible to do both!

I welcome any comments and suggestions as we only get better from sharing ideas and positivity.

Good luck!
